THE
ONE HUNDRED
THE HODGE 100 is an old-school, hundred miler, reliability trial. It's just you, your bike and the road. And maybe some pals? Oh, there's a route card too. And a GPX file for your fancy bike computer - it is the 21st century after all.
Distance: 102 miles. Or thereabouts.
Climbing: ~6,500 feet. Give or take.
THE HODGE's route is as scenic as it is challenging. Setting out from Lichfield, THE HODGE rolls through the Staffordshire countryside and climbs into the Peaks over the Cat & Fiddle, before finding its way back to Lichfield 100 miles later.
But this isn't any old sportive. This is an old-school reliability trial.
First, there's no entry fee. This is about the challenge, not making money. But there's not a sign-on either. Just start when you want. There aren't any feed stations. So carry what you need. And there's no mechanical support. So please make sure your bike is up to the task.
It's you, your bike and the road. Make sure you're prepared for it. Deal?
As we said, there's no entry fee for THE HODGE. Just download the GPX, grab the Route Card, and set off when you want.
However... if you want appreciate what we're doing, we'd appreciate you making a donation to charity. THE HODGE is supporting Children with Cancer UK - and we're asking you to Give What You Can to help them beat childhood cancer.
